Introducing Jason Byrd

n

When George Jones says you're good - well, you better be.   And, one thing is for sure, Jason Byrd will not disappoint his mentor or his fans.  Listen to Jason Byrd for two seconds and you're hooked.  This new artist is pure traditional country, the kind that never goes out of style.   It's no big surprise that George Jones would be one of his biggest supporters.  In fact, there is such similarity in Jason's voice and music, that Jones' fans could even be fooled.  On February 24th, Jason Byrd makes his debut at the Grand Ole Opry, and as if that weren't big enough, he hits the road with his idol and friend, Mr. George Jones.   Check Jason's site for Tour Dates to see if they will be coming to a town near you.  Jones and Byrd fans should also be watching for the new Jason Byrd CD with a special duet between the two.

Carrie Underwood Wins Two Grammys

Stunning as usual, she absolutely gave one of her best performances yet.  Carrie Underwood performed last night at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards, in a tribute to

Bob Wills.

Only the late great Patsy Cline

could have delivered a vocal performance like the one Underwood made last night.

Think she should have been awarded?   Well, she certainly

was.  Underwood won her first two Grammys for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best New Artist.

The Wreckers

Join Keith Urban

Adding to the excitement of Keith Urban's much anticipated "Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour" is the addition of Grammy-Nominated duo The Wreckers to the line-up.  For 36 concerts in 33 cities beginning in Phoenix, Arizona on June 8th, The Wreckers will kick off the show with the tight harmonies, smart songwriting, and pop-tinged country sound for which they have become known.

Since the release of their multi-week #1 debut single "Leave The Pieces" last year, The Wreckers, comprised of Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp, have established themselves as one of the hottest new country acts around.  "Leave The Pieces" is Grammy-nominated for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group, and their follow-up single, "My, Oh My" is currently a top ten hit.   The girls' debut album, Stand Still, Look Pretty has been certified gold.  The Wreckers spent last summer and fall opening for such superstar acts as Rascal Flatts, Alan Jackson, & Brad Paisley, so will feel right at home warming up the crowds for Keith Urban this summer.

Tickets for the "Love, Pain, & the whole crazy World Tour" went on sale to the public on Saturday, Febrauary 3rd in select markets.  For more information about specific dates and pre-sale offers, Visit:

MIAMI SUPERBOWL

Country Music Highlights

Miami, FL – Super Bowl Sunday was  more exciting than ever on CBS!!! The Indianapolis Colts beat the Chicago Bears for an electrifying showdown of sportsmanship. Prince performed during the XLI Halftime show, and
proved he is more than just one of the world's most popular and influential musicians, but also an international icon that can really play the guitar!  And so he did.   Prince has been called one of the greatest living performers of our time, and has sold nearly 100 million albums.

Following the Colts win, the music entertainment continued, when talk show host and funny man Craig Ferguson aired a ‘Special Super Bowl Edition’ of his Late Late Show  on CBS at

11:00 PM ET/PT.

The real fun began, when the voice that greets football fans every Monday night, HANK WILLIAMS JR., gave an outstanding performance along with Rock N Roll Hall of Fame members LYNYRD SKYNYRD.

This however,  was only the beginning for

Skynyrd/Williams' fans....
