Oh No He Didn't !

Apparently, he did!  While Taylor Swift was just

beginning her acceptance speech for "Best Female Video",

rapper Kanye West took the microphone from her hands

and said "Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time."

West was referring to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" video,

which was also in the running.   Late yesterday evening,

rumors started circulating on social networking sites

about the goings on at the VMA (MTV Video Music Awards),

and the much ado was very much about something.

Rapper and record producer, Kanye West, left his

manners at the door last night, or maybe David Cook said it best.

"Sounds like Kanye was home sick during Finishing School."

Cook, who was at home in Kansas City watching

the fallout, made his opinion of the incident clear on

his Twitter account.  We watched and couldn't agree more.

It's doubtful that Kanye has heard the end of this.

This could even have been a death blow to

his career, judging by the reaction of the

entire Twitter community.

Swift reacted with dignity and grace beyond

her years, which is part of the mystique that surrounds

her and continues to surprise the entire music industry.

Absolutely The Hottest New Act

on Country Radio Is...

" Love and Theft "

We've been promising to introduce you to them and the day has

finally arrived.  Meet Love and Theft, a new band out of Nashville consisting of three incredibly talented singer/songwriters, Eric Gunderson, Stephen Barker Liles and Brian Bandas.  If you want to know where they got the name Love and Theft?  Well, that would be a question for Brian.  He will proudly tell you that it was all his doing, and was a long time coming.  The trio had tried everything, even getting their fans involved, offering any fan who could come up with a suitable band name a $100.  But in the end, it was Brian who picked a Bob Dylan album title from the 1990s.  Right away, you will notice one thing

incredibly unique about these three guys as soon as you hear them

sing.  Wait!  Where's the lead singer?  There isn't one!

This group is built on harmonies and what they've come up with is

absolutely outstanding!  That's right, each of them take turns

singing lead over tasteful organic arrangements, and it works!

Stephen, Eric and Brian had a rough start and worked hard, but

it finally all paid off, and they are now living their dream signed to the

Disney Record Company, Lyric Street.  Their live shows are captivating

and the deep sonic wave of fullness that comes from their passionate and expressive voices in full harmony is just amazing. Love and Theft are currently touring with Jason Aldean and could be coming to a city near you.  This is one act you just can't miss!

Miranda Lambert's

" Revolution "

Did You Dare To Doubt?

From the Latin word Revolutio, meaning "a turn around."  If you aren't already a Miranda Lambert fan, there's a "Revolution" headed right in your direction! This is one Revolution we here at New Country Star were most anxious for, and feel is right on time.  Watching Lambert become one of the hottest stars in country music has been thrilling, and with the release of this new CD she's bound to turn around any music fan who might have dared to doubt her writing ability or staying power.  Not only is this spit-fire East Texan not going anywhere, but she's taking prisoners along the way!  Country music fans are becoming addicted to her sound and waiting for their next fix, which hit store shelves yesterday.  Although it was hard to pick the best track to share with you, we started with "Heart Like Mine," which is number twelve of the fifteen tracks on this album.  This song speaks to your soul and anyone with a heart can identify with these lyrics.  "Only Prettier" is equally appealing, with it's lighthearted, catchy, whimsical old country beat, reminiscent of "Dry Town," the second track on Lambert's own second album, "Crazy Ex Girlfriend."  During these tough economic times, we all need a little light-heartedness, and obviously we all give a little more thought to the way we spend our entertainment dollars.  Miranda Lambert's "Revolution" was released September 29th, and you will get your money's worth with the purchase of this CD.

We recommend this CD

and give it two thumbs up!

Orlando Florida's Hogtoberfest !

And we've got the moments you wouldn't and shouldn't have missed!

Held at the Historic Harley Davidson Factory in Orlando, Florida,

earlier this month, we were front row center in a very Twitterific kind of way.

There was an International Beer Sampling along with an all you

could eat Bavarian Buffet and some very great country music

including a super duet by Jamey Johnson and James Otto of "In Color" !
